lessons

Schedule: Lessons are weekly or bi-weekly at a regular agreed upon time.

Students will agree on a schedule to practice for 10 to 30 minutes in between lessons, with parental support.

2 Location Choices:

In your home with your instrument - piano, keyboard, or drum set

In a rehearsal studio in Redwood City (5th Ave.) - keyboard, drum set, options for guitar, bass, singing, percussion (very limited schedule available)

cancelLations & vacations

Cancellations will be made at least one day in advance (including weekends). If the lesson is canceled by the Student on the same day as the lesson, the lesson will still be paid to the Music Teacher, unless for a sudden dire illness.

Vacation: Students or Music Teacher can take a vacation whenever is needed and for as long as needed.

Make-up lessons can be planned if a lesson is canceled on time.

Flexibility: I strive to accomodate all scheduling needs and changes.

best practices

My lessons include proper techniques, learning challenging songs or rhythms, learning songs of genres of a student’s interest, improvisation, and composition.

I use Faber Piano Adventures for lesson, theory, and repertoire books.

Supporting your child as they practice is essential to their success and enjoyment of music.

I enjoy working with parents and students as a team.  Together, through feedback, we find the right level, focus, and needs for each student.
