ABOUT ME

I enjoy teaching music to children of all ages and inspiring them to follow their musical talent and interests. I am friendly, passionate, local to the Peninsula of the Bay Area, and I can teach everything from classical to rock, blues, and salsa.

I picked up a camera when I was 10 years old and never put it down.  My father is a painter and also took photographs when he was younger.  He has always been an example of self-expression for me.  My mother inspired me to be an activist and support social justice issues that I care about.

These influences led me to strive to take photographs that have meaning and purpose, that have the power to show someone a world they may not know exists, and that will move people to action.

I enjoy photographing people in their natural state and in natural settings.

In my free time I spend time with my husband, family, and friends, play music, get outdoors, and advocate for urgent community causes such as affordable housing for all.

My husband and I also create and sell artisan jewelry, which has become my other favorite subject to photograph.  Our handmade work can be seen at www.laondavibe.etsy.com.
